Photographers as Muse

Revenge of the Model (est. 2017) is an ongoing personal project where the roles are reversed and photographers step in front of the lens.

After years of being photographed by hundreds of artists around the world, I became curious about the person behind the camera. The one observing, directing, and capturing others, but rarely becoming the subject themselves.

What started as a playful idea became an exploration of perspective, identity, and the different ways we recognize ourselves through images.

Photography has always fascinated me for its ability to reveal different sides of ourselves. With this project, I wanted to question who gets photographed, why, and what happens when we remove expectations of what a subject “should” look like.

Simply a moment to experience the vulnerability, curiosity, and surprise of seeing yourself through someone else’s eyes.

Over the years, I have photographed more than 120 photographers across different countries, each bringing their own personality, hesitation, humor, and story into the frame.

Every portrait reveals something beyond the role behind the camera and the many sides we don’t always get to see.

Photographers always have an excuse
to stay behind the camera…
Let’s change that.

No beauty standard. No need to know how to pose. Let’s see what happens.
